What more appropriate mark to use for a thriving, highly respected regional
opera company than a fermata in Mozart's hand. We researched his music at
Dartmouth's music library, and found high-quality reproductions of Mozart's
musical notation. And it is not inappropriate that the symbol is suggestive of
an eye (opera is such a visual experience), and of a proscenium.
